Methi Matar Malai

          Today's recipe is "Methi Matar Malai". Sharing some knowledge about Methi and Green Peas before shares recipe, hope u enjoy. 
          Methi( fenugreek) is one of the most favorite veggie at winter time but we love to eat in any seasons. Methi is full of Iron,calcium, protien and carbohydrates, which makes your hair, skin,sore throat better. Also helps to control your sugar level. And good in dieting. After so many benefits of hope u guys would love to use Methi more frequently in your menu.
   Now few words about Green Peas. Green Peas are very rich in Vitamin K and manganese. Green Peas also protect against stomach cancer,heart disease and good source to support for blood pressure regulation.
        So these are some informations, I know...Before leaving you for next exciting recipe let me share recipe about Methi matar malai, do try it my way...!!!thThank you
Gravy:
1tsp oil
1 tsp ghee
1 small bowl chopped white onion
1tbls cashews 
1tbls charoli
1 tbls poppyseeds
3 green tomatoes (if u can't find u always use red tomatoes)
 Dry Gravy:
1 tsp ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds
1tsp turmeric powder
Pinch of astafatida 
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp garlic paste
1/2 tsp green chili paste
1/2 small bowl of Green Peas
Salt according to taste
1 small bowl chopped Methi leaves
1/2 bowl Chopped Cilantro
3tbls whipping cream
        Make Gravy:
                      Heat the pan add oil and ghee in it. Add chopped onion and sauté well. Add cashews, charoli & poppyseeds and sauté for couple of minutes. Then add chopped tomatoes. Cover the pan and let them cook. Add 2-3 tbls water in between and cook till tomatoes get totally tender. Turn off stove and let it cool. After cooling blend this in blender and make gravy. 
             Heat the pan on slow flame again and add some ghee in it. Add cumin seeds and astafatida and turmeric powder , garam masala sauté for 1 minute add ginger, garlic and chili paste and sauté for half a minute. Add Green Peas and salt and cover them for a while. Let them cook on slow-medium  heat. Add Methi leaves and cilantro and sauté for couple of minutes. Add blended gravy and mix well. At the and add whipping cream and turn off stove.
   Serve with your favorite naan or kulchas.
